Charlotte Harbor Surveys:

To honor Mr. William R. Mote's interest in Charlotte Harbor and sport fishing, Mote Marine Laboratory has undertaken a coordinated, multi-disciplinary study to determine the ecological health of Charlotte Harbor. As part of this initiative Mote Marine Laboratory's Scientific Foundation, in conjunction with the Florida Marine Research Institute, has funded projects designed to study the phytoplankton distributions and associated hydrographic properties within Charlotte Harbor.
