In addition to donations for general operations, there are some specific pieces of equipment that the Dolphin and Whale Hospital is in need of to save even more sick or injured whales and dolphins. For anyone interested in donating a specific item for the DWH, or money for the purchase of that item the following list is offered: (Note- prices are approximate and items are not prioritized)

2. Mobile crane for moving manatees, dolphins, and whales (~$50,000) 2. Vetscan (I-Stat) portable blood analyzer ($8,000)
3.Rescue truck ($50,000) 3. Commercial band saw for necropsies ($1,200)
4. Scuba gear ($1,500) 4. Vacuum pump (Gomp Co)
5. Whale stretcher ($3,000) 5. "Virtual" visor for ultrasound and endoscopy
6. Calf stretcher ($1,000)
7. Commercial knife sharpener
Audio/Visual
X-Ray
1. High resolution color plotter ($6,000) 1. High speed cassettes
2. Underwater camera and strobe ($2,000) 2. Lead gloves (3 pair)
3. Video camera and monitor for Olympus microscope ($2,000 - Sony CCD [SSC-SR20]) 3. 14"x17" grid
4. 2 color monitors with internal VCR ($800)
5. Thermal camera for thermography ($12,000)
