The Elasmobranch Behavioral Ecology Program examines the behavior, movement patterns and habitat use of sharks and rays.
Current projects focus on:
- Examination of movement patterns, habitat use and intraspecific interactions of five shark species within a coastal estuary
- Examination of movement patterns, habitat use and feeding ecology of two ray species
- Use of river habitats as nursery grounds for juvenile bull sharks
- The response of elasmobranchs to changes in environmental variables such as temperature and salinity
