Mote has a resident green sea turtle. "Hang Tough" almost died due to human actions - and no other aquariums had room to keep him. Due to blindness, he can never be released to the wild. See Hang Tough and other sea turtles on exhibit at Mote Marine Laboratory Sea Turtle Hospital.
