Our future plan for Mote's Aquaculture Park includes the construction of a Visitor’s Center.  This Center will be filled with information about Mote's aquaculture research projects and picnic facilities for groups to use when they visit the Park. We have completed construction of a freshwater pond that is stocked with bluegill, bass, tilapia, and hatchery reared snook.  The purpose of the pond is to evaluate the opportunity for people to establish inland urban fishing ponds. It will be a while until our Visitor’s Center is open and currently the pond is not open to the public.  Watch our web site for updates on the opening of these facilities.
